Kitchen Cryptid Privacy Policy

Kitchen Cryptid may store:

• Personal recipes
• Imported recipe text
• Recipe photos
• Images of handwritten cards or cookbook pages
• Selected PDF recipe pages
• Ingredient lists
• Pantry Memory items
• Grocery lists
• Kitchen appliances, tools, pots, and pans
• Dietary preferences
• Ingredient exclusions and dislikes
• Recipe ratings
• Cooking history
• Personal notes
• Recipe variations
• Household serving preferences
• App appearance preferences
• Subscription entitlement status
• Cryptid Verdicts and local recommendation preferences

This information is stored using Apple device storage technologies. When private iCloud sync is available, Apple CloudKit may synchronize this information between devices signed into the same Apple account.

TheSAVsolution does not operate a hosted database containing users’ complete personal cookbooks.

iCloud data is governed by your Apple account and Apple’s applicable terms and privacy practices.

• Printed-recipe and receipt text recognition is generally performed on-device using Apple frameworks.
• PDF recipe stacks may be processed on-device to identify pages, text, and possible recipe boundaries.
• You review imported recipes before saving.
• Imported content stays private unless you explicitly use an online Smart Action or voluntarily send content to support.
• Exported Kitchen Cryptid archives remain wherever you choose to save or share them.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to import, store, and use recipe content.

Some optional features require internet processing. These are called Smart Actions inside Kitchen Cryptid. A Smart Action may process content such as an ingredient list, recipe text, source URL, selected image, or other information you intentionally submit.

Smart Actions may use:

• A secure TheSAVsolution processing gateway
• Cloudflare for secure request handling, rate limiting, or related infrastructure
• OpenAI for artificial-intelligence processing
• Web-search providers when you request current recipe discovery

Only information reasonably needed to fulfill the requested Smart Action should be transmitted.

TheSAVsolution does not sell Smart Action content, use it for targeted advertising, or create advertising profiles from it.

Third-party processors may temporarily process or retain request data under their own service terms and privacy policies.

• Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
• Kitchen Cryptid receives transaction status, product identifier, entitlement status, expiration status, and related purchase-validation information.
• Kitchen Cryptid does not receive your full payment-card information.
• Apple manages billing, payment credentials, cancellations, and refunds.

The app may process limited technical information needed to:

• Prevent abuse
• Enforce feature limits
• Count Smart Actions
• Diagnose errors
• Validate purchases
• Maintain security
• Improve reliability

Possible technical information may include:

• Random installation identifier
• Request count
• Feature used
• Timestamp
• App version
• Device type
• Operating-system version
• Error codes
• Subscription product identifier
• Transaction-validation result

This information is not used for targeted advertising.

If you contact support, TheSAVsolution may receive:

• Name
• Email address
• Message
• Device and operating-system information
• App version
• Screenshots or files you voluntarily attach

Do not send private recipes, medical information, financial information, passwords, or other sensitive content unless it is necessary and you understand it will be reviewed as part of the support request.

• Provide requested Smart Actions
• Process subscriptions
• Restore purchases
• Prevent fraud and abuse

Information may be shared only with:

• Apple for iCloud, App Store purchases, and platform services
• Infrastructure and processing providers needed for requested online features
• Service providers helping operate support or website forms
• Legal authorities when required by valid law or necessary to protect users, TheSAVsolution, or others
• A successor entity if TheSAVsolution undergoes a merger, acquisition, or sale, subject to applicable law and notice requirements

TheSAVsolution does not sell personal information.

• Local data remains until deleted by you or removed with the app.
• Private iCloud data may remain in your iCloud account until you delete it through Kitchen Cryptid or Apple’s iCloud controls.
• Exported archives remain wherever you store them.
• Support correspondence may be retained as reasonably needed to resolve requests and maintain records.
• Limited security, rate-limit, purchase-validation, and error records may be retained as reasonably necessary.
• Online processing providers may retain data under their applicable policies.

You can:

• Delete individual recipes
• Delete recipe photos
• Remove pantry items
• Clear grocery lists
• Change dietary preferences
• Delete cooking history where available
• Export a Kitchen Cryptid archive
• Delete Kitchen Cryptid’s local data by removing the app
• Manage Kitchen Cryptid iCloud data through Apple’s iCloud settings
• Contact support with privacy questions

Kitchen Cryptid has no separate user account to delete.

Kitchen Cryptid is not directed to children under 13, and TheSAVsolution does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted personal information may contact us.

Kitchen Cryptid provides recipe organization, suggestions, estimates, and cooking assistance. It does not provide medical, nutritional, allergy, or food-safety guarantees. Users must verify ingredients, product labels, allergens, dietary suitability, spoilage, storage history, and safe cooking temperatures.

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used, but no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Online processing may occur in the United States or other locations where service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards and law.

This page will show the updated date, and material changes may also be communicated through the app or website.
