HarborLight Privacy Choices

HarborLight does not maintain a separate web account database for the core app, so almost every access, correction, export, and deletion control lives directly inside HarborLight on your device. Here is exactly where to find each one.

View the data HarborLight has saved

Open HarborLight and use your Library, Harbor Inbox, and Timeline views to see every document you have imported and every fact HarborLight extracted from it. Opening a record shows the original file alongside the derived information, so nothing is hidden behind a summary.

Export your data

Open HarborLight → Settings → Data → Export. You can export your documents and the information HarborLight generated so you keep your own copy. Export before any large deletion or troubleshooting step.

Correct an extracted fact

Open the document, tap the extracted value (a date, an amount, an organization, a deadline), and edit it. Your correction replaces the automatically extracted value and is used going forward in timelines, reminders, and guided matters. Use Show Where This Came From to see the exact place in the original document a value was read from.

Delete an individual document

Swipe or use the document’s menu and choose Delete. This removes the document and the information derived from it. If iCloud sync is on, the deletion syncs to your other devices.

Delete data from this device

Open HarborLight → Settings → Data → Delete Data From This Device. This clears HarborLight data from the device you are holding while leaving any synced copy in your iCloud account intact.

Delete HarborLight data everywhere

Open HarborLight → Settings → Data → Delete HarborLight Data Everywhere. This removes your HarborLight data from the device and from your synced iCloud/CloudKit storage. It cannot be undone, so export first if you want a copy.

Deleting your data does not cancel a subscription. Cancel through your Apple Account.

Turn off iCloud / CloudKit sync

Open HarborLight → Settings → Sync and turn iCloud sync off, or turn HarborLight off under iOS Settings → your name → iCloud. With sync off, new changes stay on the device you made them on. Turning sync off does not by itself delete data already stored in iCloud — use Delete HarborLight Data Everywhere for that.

Stop Trusted Household sharing

Open HarborLight → Trusted Household, select the person or the shared set, and remove access. You can also stop sharing a single record without ending the whole household connection. Removing access stops future access; it cannot recall information someone already viewed or saved.

Manage or cancel your subscription

Apple handles all billing. Open Apple Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions → HarborLight, or go to apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Refund requests are also handled by Apple.

Send us a privacy request

Because we do not hold a copy of your HarborLight library, we cannot look up, export, or delete your documents for you — but we are happy to walk you through any of the steps above, explain what a feature does, or answer a question about this policy.

Tell us which control you are trying to use.
Include your app version, iOS version, and device type if something is not working.
Do not email private documents unless we specifically ask for a redacted example.
